Role Purpose:
To develop, establish and drive marketing strategies through effective management of advertising and promotional activities to meet the respective category objectives in line with long-term organizational growth strategy
Key Deliverables:
l Aligning diverse opinions to agree on the way forward for the Category strategy i.e. get strategic coherence which leads to achievement of strategic objectives for the brand/segment
l Aligning internal cross functional teams and external agency teams to deliver on the strategic Category objectives
l Managing the tension between the short term and long term for the Category
l Managing the tension between the topline and bottomline for the Category
l Developing and implementing a category strategy to deliver against established goals
l Develop the long term overall strategy, operational and organizational plan for the Category
l Manage "Brand Equity" of the Brand and sub-brands
l Long term and annual P&L responsibility, responsible for topline, market share and profitability for the Category
l Approve product/segment specific plans developed by brand manager(s)
l Direct the development and execution of robust marketing/brand campaigns for the Category
l Identify & closely ensure brand health Innovation
l Identify opportunities for the Category to grow which involves forecasting consumer foresight and insights and any opportunities and/or threats emerging from the competitive or technology landscape. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to develop new brand/product bundles and establish viability of the same.
l Develops suitable launch brand mix (4-Ps) and Go-To-Market plans
l To define new product pricing (pre-launch and launch) and to set the pricing ladder to guide delivery of required contribution
l Execution
l Establish strategies related to product launches, media releases, PR, advertising & agencies, design agencies, budgets and MIS
l Create brand/product level business plan with volume, gross margins and overall profitability Commercial Effectiveness
l To monitor and manage marketing budgets and gross margins for the Category
l People Management
l Develop and manage overall team dedicated to the category
l Aligning diverse opinions to agree on the way forward for the Category strategy i.e. get strategic coherence which leads to achievement of strategic objectives for the brand/segment
l Aligning internal cross functional teams and external agency teams to deliver on the strategic Category objectives

Qualification Required:
l BBA/MBA degree from any reputed university
l Core marketing experience 7-10 years in FMCG
l Minimum 5 years of Brand Management Experience
l Advertising Development
l Trade Understanding
l Consumer & Shopper Insights
l People leadership
